Volunteering with Healthwatch Kingston Upon Hull is a great way to help bring about positive change to our health and social care services.
Healthwatch is now recruiting for Enter & View Authorised Representatives. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be asked to visit and act as the eyes and ears of the public to help Healthwatch understand the level of services being offered at local health and social care services such as Care Homes, GP Medical Centres, Pharmacists, Opticians, Hospital Services.
You will be asked to go talk to staff, patients, and carers. You will look at what services are offered and whether or not these meet people’s needs. It is a great opportunity to get more experience of this sector for getting into employment or just to meet new people and gain experience of working as part of a team.
Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union have launched a Christmas Saver Campaign and are working closely with Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council who have contributed towards funding and promoting the scheme.
The aim of the scheme is to help residents to become more self-sufficient in funding their end of year festivities (avoiding the need for loan sharks or payday lenders) by opening a Christmas Saver account.
